are they labeled with any size??? Do I have a choice??

Yes, the label (in Russian) is dated 1977 and purple ink stamped '54' for size. I have a large head (and not just because of my ego) and mine fits. The "helmets" have a soft quit linning and typical Russian canvas shell. They are supple and in excellant condition. The chin strap is adjustable for a tighter fit. A nice item of "Cold War" history.
