Bing it is cast iron does it need to be seasoned thank you

All cast iron needs to seasoned. These pans are a little bit rough. Use sandpaper or a grinder to gently smooth the cooking surface. The smoother the better. Then, season with high temperature cooking oil taking care not to over clean after cooking. You want carbon to build up layer after layer over time. Eventually, it will become almost non stick. Be patient. It takes time but these pans will last a lifetime if taken care of.

How long are the legs

7 3/4 with the threads

what is the diameter

Seventeen inches and one quarter. I found an aluminum lid at an online restaurant supply store that is about sixteen inches and works very well. I’ve cooked a steak on it and the pan is great. It’s well worth the money if you cool outside a lot.
