Can it be used as a EMP container?

I am trying the convert this MEDICAL TRANSPORT CHEST in to a EMP proof container.

Are these air/water tight?

Mine came with a full perimeter rubber gasket and the clamps draw the lid down right. The lid also overlaps the sides by a good inch and a half. The only question would be the age/state of the gasket meaning is it too compressed or stiff because of age. I would have zero issue leaving it in the bed of the truck during a hurricane. Just don't know if it would keep water out if submerged I haven't tried it don't see the need. Very heavy even tho aluminum due to the thickness of the metal. Well worth the cost especially compared to a new "expedition" storage box which at the end of the day probably wouldn't be as good. Highly recommend.

How much do these boxes weigh?

Approximately 35lbs.
