These dated WWII wire cutters were probably a commonly used tool for prison breaks, or making/mending fences. Measures 13 3/8” when extended. Handle is held together with 3 heavy duty rivets. Twine lanyard on each pair. Folds conveniently to 9 ¾” for a more compact storage. Jaws may show some signs of wear. Great show piece to add to your vintage tool collection.

Very Good, Substantial wire cutters. Have some minor surface rust and may have been previously used. Have manufacturing stamp and were certainly made in England, do not have a date however. Came with lanyard as advertised and were in perfect working condition. Heavy steel construction. Will cut most any wire. It cut through a Galvanized steel fence, barbed wire, and electrical wire. Will probably cut any wire that can fit in the jaws and can handle a lot of force that may be needed to cut through larger size wire, very sturdy. You could not ask for better wire cutters; they do not make tools like this any more.
