Description

Due to popular demand, these “classic warfighter boots” are back! We have been looking high and low for other manufacturers that produce USMC (Rugged All Terrain) Combat Boots. We were lucky enough to find some of the best Danner has to offer, and we are passing on the savings to you! Durable water-resistant Nubuc leather upper, damage resistant 1000 denier nylon, polyurethane enforced heel and toe cap, and most importantly GORE-TEX waterproof protection. The precisely designed breathable moisture-wicking mesh lining will keep your feet comfortable and always ready for any situation or inclement weather. The unique Vibram 360 tread on these boots will tackle any terrain. Double stitched for superior protection. Color: Mojave. Genuine USMC Issue. Unused condition. Danner brand Made in USA.

Editors Note: This is the "temperate weather" variant of the RAT boot. Specifically, these boots are designated as cold weather mountain boots by the United States Marine Corps.

These are genuine combat boots, designed for warfighers. They will be hard to put on at first because they are designed to stay on once they are on. They will loosen up as you wear them. In addition, we've had some customers express concerns about the liner not being attached, this is by design to increase warmth and breathability.

What is the manufacture date on these? Trying to figure out if these are an older (original) run or newer (updated) production run?

7/12

are these steel toe or composite toe?

Neither. The boots have a hard plastic toe, with "Vibram" sole.

How is the fit? I normally wear 8.5 shoes and boots. Should I go up to a 9 or if true to size stay the same

I would say go up in size. They fit pretty close to size, but with the liner and more closed toe shape they could feel cramped.

I am looking to replace my rat boots, but the description makes no mention of Gortex. Do these have Gortex liners

Great boots...great company. I love these new boots. Fits perfectly

Mark M. says they have a composite toe and Parke W. says they don’t. Do these boots have any kind of safety toe, or is it just the outer protective cap? Also, being a ‘Cold weather mountain boot’ are they insulated at all?

Howdy Sir: I have worn Danner vented summer boots since 2014. They are the most comfortable and durable boots I have ever owned. I wear the soles slick and the tops are still in great condition. I bought a three season pair of another brand. They were okay. Not good below 30F. I wore them slick. They are waterproof. I bought another pair of Danner vented summer boots, Danner three season boots and Haix European winter combat boots with thinsulite. They are warm and waterproof. I would have preferred to buy a pair of winter boots made in America, but my feet got cold in the three season RATs. The toe cap on the Danner is not a crush proof safety toe. However it does provide some protection. I put my boots on low temperature boot dryers every night and they are dry and warm in the morning. You can find them at Rural King.
