U.S. G.I. Vintage Klein Industrial Leather Strap

Built for men who worked at height with nothing but leather, steel, and skill, this industrial safety strap carries the unmistakable patina of the past. Made from a very dense vegetable-tanned leather layered and saddle-stitched, paired with galvanized hardware. The forged snap hooks have positive spring keepers, copper-riveted plates, and an adjustable buckle assembly consistent with classic lineman positioning gear. Expert Tips:

Dust first, then condition the leather lightly in multiple coats; avoid soaking to preserve firmness. A dab of beeswax along the edges brings back luster and seals fibers. Clean metal gently with 0000 steel wool and a drop of oil, then seal with microcrystalline wax to slow oxidation. If wall-displaying, keep out of direct sun and avoid tension on the strap to prevent checking. For repurposing, those Klein-marked hooks make great hardware for custom belts, dog leads, or a rugged wall rack.
