Vintage Swiss Army Large Kitchen Basket

Imagine KP duty in a mess hall in Switzerland circa 1950. You’d be seeing these twig baskets filled to the brim with potatoes and other veggies waiting to be prepared. This large basket was made entirely of hand woven twigs. It’s large enough to hold a bundle of kindling, or use it as a storage basket or even a rustic hamper. This old basket will add to your rustic decor, but is strong enough to utilize. Measures approx. 13” high x 20” in dia. and has 2 woven twig handles. This is also a nice addition to a military collection. These baskets seem to be in an Unused Condition, but may show minor scrapes from long term storage.
