A true Cold War tool, this brawny little shovel can do it all. Carefully crafted and designed for serious work. Ideal for keeping in the trunk of your car, working in the yard, or mounted on your jeep. The East German Army would literally have these shovels mounted on almost every vehicle. Tried and true design stretched from WWI to the end of the Cold War. Solid wood handle that is just the right size. Measures approximately 43’’ high. Steel blade measures approximately 9’’ x 8’’. Unused condition. Genuine European Military Surplus.

I bought one. Left a 5 star review. Then I took it to the garden. Handle is dry rotted, snapped at the haft.

I bought 2 of the these shovels. Love them and want to buy more for friends. I suggest you communicate your issues to Colman, I’m guessing they will make it right. I’d take your head without a handle and make a new short handle, you’d have a sweet little car shovel.
