Description

This is likely the last batch of these we will see. If you want a life long set of camping utensils, look no further. Forget those cheap plastic utensils that can break or melt while you're cooking and/or eating. Made of heavy duty stainless steel, these utensils are unique in that they fit snug together within the can openers attached sleeve. You have everything you need here in one convenient unit. Kit includes serrated knife, fork, spoon and opener. Used, good condition. Price includes two sets. Genuine European Military Surplus.

How do you use this can opener? It's horribly dull (unlike the knife) but I can't imagine the Bundeswehr wants their soldiers to not be able to open cans. I tried using it like a regular lever-type opener with no luck.

While the can open does work it is not the best out there. There are a few videos of the different ways to use it on YouTube. You must remember that this is an old design dating back to WW2. I use it because it is convenient and comes with the other utensils. With that said, if you do use it be careful because it leave the can with jagged and sharp edges.

what's the date-range on these? looking for 60s-70s issue.

Mine are 1966 & 1967.
