Description

A significant grade above your average haversack, this bag will survive by your side for decades. I’m talking tremendously tough. Featuring thick nylon outer shell, waterproof rubber coated interior with all seams taped, unique strap closure, small interior pocket, and shoulder strap. We believe it was a gas mask bag but as you know, gas mask bags are the original military surplus repurpose item and have endless uses. Measures approximately 12’’ wide x 12’’ tall x 5’’ deep. Used, good condition. Made in Germany. Genuine European Military Surplus.

I bought this bag but can't figure out the closure. How are the two hooks used??

The closure is a simple rolldown to fit the content then secure the flap strap with holes over the pin. The plastic attachments on the backside look to me to be two-fold. 1. clipping the bottom hooks to the lower pins looks like the bag could have been made to attach to bike pannier rack. (hence, it's HD water proofing) 2. the area above looks like it was made for attaching to a military belt possibly to be carried like a 'buttpack'. But, we are definitely missing the extra pieces to secure the bag to a belt. All our ? could be answered if we had access to the German Mil equipment field manuals which showed all the pack systems ;)
