The Italian Bersaglieri have a long storied history as Italy’s Elite Light Infantry. The Bersaglieri have been an elite fighting force since the early 1800’s. Known as “vaira”, this hat is still worn today with dress uniform. The signature peacock plume of this hat are genuine and not imitation. This rare hat would make a wonderful addition to any militaria collection. Leather chin strap included. Unused condition.
