Description

Two hundred and fifty years of American history deserve something more enduring than a souvenir and KA-BAR chose one of the most recognizable American knife designs ever made to mark the occasion. Created in celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary, the KA-BAR 250th USA Commemorative Knife takes the unmistakable profile that helped establish the KA-BAR name during World War II and gives it a distinctly commemorative treatment. Its substantial 7" clip-point blade is crafted from proven 1095 Cro-Van steel, hardened to 56–58 Rockwell and finished with a flat grind, 20-degree edge angle, and special 250th-anniversary engraving that transforms a serious working knife into a piece equally at home in a collection. At 0.165" thick and approximately 1.188" wide, the blade retains the rugged proportions associated with the classic KA-BAR Utility Knife while remaining practical for camp chores, cutting, field work, and general outdoor use. The traditional stacked-leather handle is what really completes the silhouette: warm, tactile, and unmistakably old-school against the dark blade, it recalls an era when military tools were expected to be both serviceable and built with materials that developed character over time. Measuring 11.875" overall and weighing just 0.65 lb., the knife has enough presence to feel substantial without becoming unnecessarily cumbersome. Display it alongside American military memorabilia, make it the centerpiece of a KA-BAR collection, or keep it as a functional reminder of the nation's milestone represented here by a knife design whose own American story stretches back generations. New condition. Designed and knife manufactured in the USA.

Expert Tips: 1095 Cro-Van is prized for toughness and ease of sharpening, but as a high-carbon steel it benefits from a thin coat of quality knife oil after handling or use, particularly in humid environments. Keep the blade clean and completely dry before returning it to the sheath, and avoid leaving it stored long-term in damp leather, since leather can retain moisture. Condition the stacked-leather handle sparingly with a leather-safe conditioner when it begins to look dry; over-saturating it can soften the washers unnecessarily.
