How large is the opening hole, the pour spout as i need something big enough to let my suction pipe t fit in- Is it a 2 inch diamter? thanks adam

Depends on if you get the wide mouth or standard can. Make sure you get the corresponding spout.

Is this can actually 6" width, or 6.5" (at the bulge in the middle of the can wall like today's standard size)? I need two that are 6" max width.

My NATO cans of 1950's vintage measure 6 5/8" thick empty with no bulged out sides. Full and pressurized they will be 6 3/4" thick. You might check the knockoff cans with the rolled bottom seam and round hole but I suspect they will be the same thickness. Measure across the bottom seam.

Other buyers: What, if anything, did you use to clean/prep the inside of the can before storing fuel in it?

Nothing. The inside was immaculate. Plenty of surface rust on exterior, but inside had apparently been sealed since leaving factory.

Do these come with the spout as well or just the can separately?

It didn't come with a spout. I purchased it separately.

Does this come with the spout/nozzle?

No nozzle was included with mine anyway
