Now you can own a piece of world history with this authentic DDR helmet which was used as early as WWII and as late as the Berlin Wall collapse. We think ours may be late 1960’s to early 1970’s. The odd slanted shape of these helmets were not only for the protection of shrapnel, but it was also to help shield the sun away from the soldiers eyes. Inside, these steel helmets have their original leather adjustable suspension with chin strap. Original helmet net/cover included. Used good condition.
