Swedish Military Antique Wooden Transport Sled

What an incredible piece of military history! We were extremely fortunate to find this rare collectible from the 1950’s era while traveling Europe. These sleds were originally used by the Swedish military to transport supplies or wounded troops in the snow covered mountains. The curved hardwood body seems to be hand-made. The sides can be folded and the leather straps would have kept everything secure. Sled measures approximately 17 ¼’’ wide x 7' 5” long. Used, Antique Condition. Very limited quantities. This sled would display beautifully when hung in a ski chalet or cabin.
