Description
This Belgian military bivy cover is authentic military issue. No need to go out and buy a whole sleep system when you already have a sleeping bag you like. This bivy cover is an excellent choice for an inexpensive way to add warmth and water/moisture resistance to your existing sleeping bag. Bivy Bag has a water resistant bottom with a mylar inside coating, and a breathable lightweight cotton canvas top. Bivy measures 77” from shoulder to toes, and is 34” wide at the shoulders, with an additional 32” head coverage piece. Unused condition.

I’ve got two foldable hammock stands (Guide Gear brand). The hammocks themselves are mouse-eaten, but the spreader bars are still usable. Would these bivy covers be convertible into hammocks that would hold up to 250#? Thanks!
You are probably better off buying something like a tarp tube or oilskin tarp , i.e. a tarp sewn lengthwise with openings in both ends to insert the spreader bars. This Belgian bivy cover is not strong enough to be a hammock.
